The variety of the accordion and the possibility to use it for every style of music fascinate Matthias. For this reason and because he wants to spend more time on exploring the accordion he decided to start his music studies at the Hohner Conservatory after his school leaving diploma in 2012.
Matthias’s idols at the accordion are among others Richard Galliano, Frank Marocco and Art van Damme as well as particularly his teachers. He opened his mind to influences from different sources and combines profound musical expression with technical brilliance, a lively stage show and the unity of body, heart and soul which he discovered especially due to his experiences with Frédéric Deschamps. In this manner Matthias creates his genuine musical individuality.
For the future Matthias wants to play as many concerts as possible in order to be able to make a living with his passion and combine his hobby with his profession. Soon his second album will be released after “furioso” came out in 2012 and showed the wide range of the accordion’s musical ability.
